Spanish international David De Gea has been named on the list of the best players in the Champions League this week. The Manchester United shot stopper made the list for his performance during the 2-0 away win over La Liga team Villarreal.
David De Gea kept his first clean sheet in five Champions League outings this season against the Yellow Submarines.Manchester United had him to thank for keeping the home team at bay before Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho scored two late goals to lead the Red Devils to victory in the Group F clash. The victory over Villarreal sealed top spot for Manchester United in the group, while Villarreal will battle with Italian team Atalanta for the second and final slot for the round of 16 from their group. Villarreal are in second place, while Atalanta are in third place ahead of the final group game between the two teams.

The defensive quartet of Trevor Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Reece James and Ivan Perisic. The Chelsea duo of James and Chalobah scored on the way to a 4-0 win over Italian Serie A giants Juventus, while Silva made a goal-line clearance to deny Old Lady striker Alvaro Morata a goal during the same game in the colours of Chelsea. Croatian international Perisic was influential as Inter Milan beat Shakthar Donetsk 2-0 at home to secure knockout stage qualification.
The RB Leipzig duo of Christopher Nkunku and Emil Forsberg were named on the list after they scored twice during the 5-0 away win over Belgian team Club Brugge. Nkunku took his Champions League tally to seven goals this season and he also had an assist for one of the two goals from Forsberg.
Nkunku was joined in midfield by Liverpool star Thiago Alcantara and Real Madrid player Toni Kroos, while Forsberg was named in attack alongside Inter Milan hitman Edin Dzeko and Ajax Amsterdam striker Sebastien Haller.
